First edition. First issue, decorated and lettered in gilt. previous owners label on front pastedown else pages are clean. Front and back hinges are cracked but firm. Binding is tight. Black endpapers. Green cloth beveled boards, are worn at spine ends, corners and edges. Corners are bumped and starting to fray. Front cvr is well soiled, back cover generally clean. Spine is age darkened from handling. Text block foot has light soiling.
