Illustrated by Arthur Rackham. Translated by Mrs. Edgar Lucas. 12 colored plates, 55 black and white illustrations. Spine is completely missing, although the binding is still holding together (the boards are attached) and the mesh is intact. Boards are significantly rubbed, scuffed and soiled. The pastedown illustration on the front cover is chipped and rubbed at the edges and corners. Foxing to text block. End pages are signficantly toned and soiled as are a number of the the pages following and preceding them. The first free end paper and frontispiece are detached. Scattered, occasional foxing and soiling to remaining pages, although mostly (but not all) on the edges. The illustrations and text are crisp and clear. The color plates remain beautifully rendered with some faint foxing or soiling to the outer edges. Pictures available upon request.
