2 Volumes. This is an exhibition catalogue for the centennial retrospective of Chinese-born Singaporean artist Chen Wen Hsi held at the Singapore Art Museum from December 2006 to April 2007. The exhibition is themed around four ideas: traditions, life, explorations and synthesis. It consists of two volumes: the first one includes texts by the curator and scholars, and a biography of the artist, while the second is a transcript of an oral history interview of the artist conducted by the Oral History Centre of the National Archives of Singapore in 1983 and 1984 with interviewer Pitt Kuan Wah. Volume 1 is clean with mild rubbing, scuffing and bumping to boards and extremities; text block is lightly soiled. Volume 2 is significantly rubbed, scuffed and bumped. Dust jacket is clean with rubbing, scuffing and creasing, and is covered in a protective mylar jacket. PLEASE NOTE: NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING DUE TO WEIGHT.
