First Edition limited to three thousand copies. Black cloth over boards with silver-stamped particulars to spine. Glue has stained full title where the signature meets the binding; previous owner's name inscribed in pen to first free endpaper. Endpapers are toned. Wear to head and tail of spine and edges of boards; gilt title at spine is rubbed; corners are lightly bumped. Text block is clean. Binding is tight and square. Pictorial dust jacket, illustrated by Ronald Clyne, shows some toning, but is clean and unmarked. Dust jacket is covered in a protective mylar jacket.
