Two Volume Set. Signed by the illustrator, Robert Shore. Limited to fifteen hundred sets thus, of which this is #1142. Ochre cloth-backed pictorial boards depicting a map of the moon. Gilt particulars in green compartment to spine. Top edge sprayed ochre. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown; otherwise, pages are clean and unmarked. Boards are clean and bright. Text block is clean. Binding is tight and square. Gold-colored paper-covered slipcase emblazoned with a JV emblem, for the initials of the author, Jules Verne. Slipcase is clean, with some scuffing and wear to edges.
