Beautifully bound in full dark green leather with embossed rule, embossed decorations and gilt-embossed coat of arms to boards and spine. Rule to inner edge of boards; six raised bands to spine; brown ribbon bookmarker; all edges gilt with red undertones. Prefaced by an account of the life of Spenser by the Rev. Henry John Todd, M.A., this collection includes such poems as "The Faerie Queen," "The Shepheardes Calender," "Prothalamion," "Epithalamion," and many more. Frontispiece portrait of Spenser engraved by H. Robinson. Pages are clean and unmarked. Text block is clean with light bumping to fore edge. Boards are clean; light sunning to spine; hinges and raised bands to spine are lightly cracked. Binding is tight and square.
