EXTREMELY SCARCE. Peoples Press, 1970. Book is stapled pamphlet-style. Text by Terry Cannon. Bold cover art and illustrations are original drawings by Frank Cieciorka. Additional reprinted drawings and photos from The Black Panther newspaper and other sources throughout. The content covers the story of the Black Panther Party through a series of articles, program points, and artwork. As stated on the table of contents page "This primer is written by a white person to other whites who want and need to know what the Black Panther Party is all about." This is a well worn copy. Pages are unmarked by previous owners, with a light bit of soiling present in the lower margin of the last page. Binding is delicate but holds. Closed tears at both spine ends that extend to the staples. Covers have light soiling, moderate scuffing and rubbing, with creasing around edges and at corners. Text block is lightly soiled and foxed. ADDITIONAL PICTURES PROVIDED UPON REQUEST.
