Brown leather boards. Pages are heavily soiled, foxed and tanned, previous owner's inscription to front pastedown, and writing to top edge of first few pages; writing in black marker to rear pastedown. Text block is soiled with shelf wear, scuffing to corner at lower edge. Boards are soiled and scuffed, sunning and cracking to leather at edges of boards, and chipping and rubbing to edges and corners; spine is very heavily chipped, rubbed and cracked but still holds. Binding is sound with title page and pages 433-439 loose, but still hold.
