History of the County of Houston, New Jersey, from its earliest settlement to the present time. 3/4 Leather over marbled paper-covered boards with gilt particulars and 5 raised bands to spine. Dampstain to all edges but top edge at first few pages and dampstain to lower edge of all pages throughout, blue stamp to lower edge of pages 285 and 568, and light foxing to illustrated pages with tissue guards; writing in black marker to front flyleaf. First free endpaper is loose, but still present. Inner hinges cracked,but still hold. Text block is marbled and sunned. Scuffing to lower corner and center of fore edge. Boards are soiled at fore edge and lower edge of front board and along spine edge at rear board, scuffing and rubbing to edges, and tearing to paper at lower edge of rear cover; bumping, rubbing, and chipping to edges, corners and ends of spine. Binding is sound.
