Signed by the author at half-title page. Pale yellow cloth over boards with dark blue-debossed particulars and illustration to spine and front board. Previous owner's inscription to top edge of half-title page, writing to dedication page, light soiling to fore edge of a few pages throughout and light tanning to edges of pages. Decorative endpages are clean and bright. Text remains clean and unmarked. Text block is sunned and soiled. Covers are lightly soiled with dampstains to top edge, spots of rubbing to fore edge of front board, and bumping, light rubbing and soiling to edges, corners and ends of spine. Binding is tight, boards bow slightly inward at fore edge. Dust jacket is soiled with heavy chipping, creasing and closed tears to edges, corners and ends of spine. Top corner cut at front flap. Dust jacket is covered in a protective mylar jacket.
