First Edition, 1948. Green cloth over boards with gilt-debossed particulars to spine. Previous owner's writing to first free endpaper and light scattered foxing to top edge of a few pages throughout; otherwise, text is clean and unmarked. Endpages have soiling to gutters and light foxing to fore edge of rear pastedown. Text block is foxed. Boards are sunned and soiled along spine with dampstain at ends of spine, heavy bumping and soiling to corners and ends of spine, and small closed tear to headcap. Binding is tight, spine slightly leans.
