Signed by the author at rear flyleaf. New Poems 1963-65, a Loujon Press Award Book with etchings by Noel Rockmore. Limited Edition of 3100 copies designed, edited, printed and handbound by Loujon Press in April 1965. Loujon Press was an important, avant-garde letterpress printing operation founded by Jon and Gypsy Lou Webb in the 1960s. Based in New Orleans, the press was known for its high-quality, labor-intensive editions of underground poetry and prose, most notably the literary journal The Outsider and early works by writers like Charles Bukowski and Henry Miller. Pages are clean and unmarked. Binding is tight, spine is uncreased. Text block is clean and unmarked. Covers are clean and bright with small closed tear to top edge of front cover, moderate creasing to edge of flap that folds over fore edge of text block, and light to moderate creasing and rubbing to edges, corners and ends of spine.
