Red leather boards with five-raised bands, gilt decorations, and gilt titling to spine. Delicate gilt floral rule and embossed gilt emblem to center of boards. Large spot of foxing to gutter of pages 52 and 53; otherwise, pages are clean and unmarked. Decorative endpapers are clean and unmarked, but have previous owners writing to back of first free endpaper and light foxing to rear flyleaf. All edges marbled. Text block has moderate sunning to top edge, but is otherwise clean and unmarked. Boards have light scuffing and some light scattered spots of soiling, sunning to spine, moderate bumping to corners and light rubbing to ends of spine. Binding is tight, spine is slightly cocked.
