Navy cloth over boards with gilt-debossed titling to spine and debossed decorative rule to boards with debossed emblem to center of front board. Pages have light tanning to edges, but are otherwise clean and unmarked. All plates and tisue guards present and intact. Frontispiece and tissue guard are clean and bright; tissue guard is detatched from binding slighty starting at top edge going in but is otherwise fully intact. Endpages have previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown, soiling to pastedowns and inner hinges possibly due to glue residue, and rear flyleaf is slightly detatched from binding starting at top edge. Text block has light scuffing to lower corner, light sunning to fore edge, and moderate sunning to top edge. Light foxing to top edge, and light scuffing to top edge and lower edge. Fore edge is deckled. Boards are bright with small bubble to cloth and light scuffing at top edge of front board, scuffing and rubbing to lower edge, and light bumping and rubbing to corners and ends of spine. Binding is sound, hinges cracked after frontispiece and before rear flyleaf, but still hold. Spine is cocked. Dust jacket has light scattered foxing to top edge, moderate creasing to edges of spine with one chip to rear edge, moderate sunning to spine, and moderate creasing, rubbing, and small closed tears to edges, corners and ends of spine; rear cover is light soiled and scuffed. Corners cut of flaps. Dust jacket is covered in a protective mylar jacket.
