First Edition; Seven hundred and forty-nine signed copies have been printed on croxley rag paper of which this is number 356. Signed by the author at edition description. Blue cloth over boards with gilt titling and decorative bands to spine, and embossed publisher's emblem to rear board. Pages are clean and unmarked. Blue silk ribbon bookmark attached with light soiling and light fraying to end. Endpages have light soiling to front inner hinge, and moderate soiling with foxing to rear inner hinge. Text block has spot of soiling to center of fore edge, and faint foxing to corner at top edge. Fore edge and lower edge deckled, and top edge sprayed gilt. Boards are clean with heavy sunning to spine, faint scattered foxing along spine edge, moderate bumping to top corners and light bumping to lower corners and ends of spine. Binding is cracked between pages 166 and 167, but still holds. Binding is square.
